I practiced law before taking a default disbarment in 2003. It was over a fee dispute with a client that I chose not to contest because I had already decided to stop practicing law.  The client has long since been repaid. That history is public, and I have no intention of concealing it. It neither proves nor disproves my constitutional arguments. Those arguments must stand or fall on the constitutional text, the historical record, and the authorities cited for them.
